On 29 December 2020, the Constitutional Court of Serbia (CCS) adopted a decision (Už-1823/2017) upholding the constitutional appeal filed on behalf of 17 Afghani migrants, who were expelled into Bulgaria although they had expressed the intention to seek asylum in the Republic of Serbia (RS) in 2017. Notis Mitarakis, the Greek migration minister, has branded allegations of Greek pushbacks "part of the comprehensive fake news strategy" promoted by Turkey -- according to the German news agency dpa. Mitarakis denied that Greece was pushing migrants back to Turkey or preventing them from applying for asylum within Greece. Dpa reported that Mitarakis told the Greek newspaper To Vima that Turkey was pushing these claims through non-governmental organizations and smugglers’ networks. Last week, the NGO Mare Liberum said it had documented "close to 10,000 people" pushed back in 2020 alone in 321 documented incidents. Now, German courts have ruled in favor of 66 refugees whose positive asylum decisions had been revoked. German administrative courts have ruled in favor of 66 refugees after they brought lawsuits against the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees BAMF. They were appealing the withdrawal of their positive asylum decisions. That's according to the newspapers of the Funke Media Group from Wednesday (February 16) citing an answer by the federal government to an inquiry of the Left parliamentary group. read more

Targi is a Tuareg from the desert city of Ubari in Libya’s south-west. Under Muammar Gaddafi, Tuareg people were marginalised – not issued government IDs, and restricted from getting work and public services.
