Word has got around in the meantime about what the 'Seebrücke' is. But what is the 'Balkanbrücke'? The activists from 'Seebrücke' are demanding the communal reception of refugees in Germany and other EU countries. In doing so, they are focusing primarily on people who were rescued from distress in the Mediterranean Sea or who are stuck in refugee camps on the Greek islands. The 'Balkanbrücke', on the other hand, draws attention to the forgotten misery in the countries of the Western Balkans, where thousands of people on the borders of the EU hope in vain for progress and experience human rights violations every day. read more
