On the Ocean Viking (SOS Méditerranée), there are currently more than 230 rescued. According to reports, Switzerland facilitates and supports the onward journey of hundreds of migrants to Northern Europe. German politicians react indignantly to the fact that Switzerland does not adhere to the Dublin Agreement. Thus, these people can’t access their basic rights and face inhumane living conditions such as homelessness, hunger, no access to urgent medical care, treatment and medication. Several Syrian families transported to Syria to be deported under Lebanon’s “revived programme” announced last week. The plan is to deport up to six thousand people on a “voluntary basis” but there are accusations of forced deportations of Syrians, endangering their lives.
