Oggi il Comitato europeo per la prevenzione della tortura (Cpt) ha fatto notare in modo netto alle autorità italiane che le procedure di espulsione collettiva utilizzate nei confronti di un gruppo di migranti nigeriani nel dicembre del 2015 non sono state rispettose dei loro diritti fondamentali. L’espulsione è avvenuta nonostante la magistratura fosse intervenuta sospendendo per taluni i provvedimenti espulsivi. read more

«Migliaia di migranti e rifugiati intrappolati in Grecia e costretti a vivere in condizioni degradanti a causa dell’accordo tra Unione Europea e Turchia, rischiano la propria vita con l’arrivo dell’inverno e del freddo». Salgono le domande di asilo in Ue nel terzo trimestre, arrivando a quasi 360mila, un aumento del 17% rispetto al trimestre precedente. Secondo i dati di Eurostat, in numeri assoluti la Germania è sempre in testa con 237.430 richieste (il 66% del totale), e l'Italia seconda con 34.560 (9,6%). Ma in base alla popolazione, la posizione dell'Italia in classifica cambia: in testa resta la Germania con 2.890 domande per milione di abitanti, seguita dalla Grecia (1.152) e da Malta (1.091), mentre l'Italia è solo settima, con 570 richieste. read more
