Scirocco [ʃiˈrɔkko-Schirokko] ist ein südöstlicher, heißer starker Wind, der für oftmals nur wenige Stunden Staub und Sand über das Mittelmeer nach Sizilien und Italiens Norden trägt. Diese Kurzinfo erscheint seit März 2021 etwa einmal im Monat. Die aktuelle Ausgabe vom Scirocco befasst sich mit der Verschärfung der EU-Rückführungsregelungen für Migrant*innen, der unsicheren Zukunft des Italien-Albanien-Deals, dem juristischen Erfolg im Fall Diciotti sowie Protesten und den prekären Bedingungen von Geflüchteten in Italien.

Streiflicht Italia: Lost Lives, Untold Stories (only in German)

People on the move die in the Mediterranean - every day, often without a name, without saying goodbye, without anyone knowing. This publication tells the stories of those who are lost and those who are left behind. Of mothers who, years later, still hope. Of sisters begging the authorities to act. Scirocco [ʃiˈrɔkko-Scirocco] is a southeasterly, hot strong wind that carries dust and sand across the Mediterranean Sea to Sicily and the north of Italy for often only a few hours. This short info is published since March 2021, currently every month. The current issue of Scirocco deals with the tightening of EU repatriation regulations for migrants, the uncertain future of the Italy-Albania deal, the legal success in the Diciotti case as well as protests and the precarious conditions of refugees in Italy.
